Five Fun Things to Do in Guayaquil, Ecuador

After leaving Cartagena, our next stop was Quito, the capital of Ecuador! It sits at an elevation just below 10,000 feet making it the second highest capital city in the world after La Paz, Bolivia.

What the &#$% is bugbatical?

Great question! The short (and obvious) answer is that it’s a portmanteau of bug and sabbatical. But I realize that isn’t very illuminating. The longer answer is that Phil and I call each other “bug” - more specifically, he usually calls me bug and I call him bug bug. Yes, we are generally insufferable, ask any of our close friends or family :P.
